ETH‑300 (straight‑through) and ETH‑300‑2P (bridge‑type) modules convert the MPI/PPI serial port on Siemens S7‑300 and S7‑200 PLCs into a standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port for data acquisition and networking. They support Siemens S7 TCP and Modbus TCP protocols and allow multi‑client communication, enabling integration with SCADA systems, HMI touchscreens (Proface, Kunlun, Delta, etc.), and industrial control boards . The 2P version adds bridge‑mode support for devices lacking multi‑master communication .
How to Use
Power the module from the PLC’s 24 V DC bus or a separate supply.
Insert the RJ45 network cable into the 10/100 Mbps port and connect your switch or device.
Use STEP7 / TIA Portal or configuration tools to assign IP settings (address, gateway).
Select communication protocol (S7 TCP or Modbus TCP) and configure client/server roles.
Connect target devices: SCADA software, HMIs, or touchscreens via Ethernet.
